Senior Associate, Banking - Edinburgh / Glasgow

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance lawyer to take on a leading role within a market-leading team, advising on a broad range of financing matters including corporate lending and real estate finance for an impressive client base of banks, alternative lenders, debt funds, investors and corporate borrowers. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising lenders and borrowers on a wide variety of banking and finance transactions, including complex secured lending matters.
• Leading transactions from inception through to completion, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across practice areas and jurisdictions.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering commercially focused legal advice.
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, supporting their professional development.
• Contributing to business development initiatives, thought leadership and client engagement activities.
• Collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices on domestic and cross-border transactions.

Applicants should be qualified solicitors with at least 6 years’ PQE gained within a reputable banking and finance practice. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical expertise in finance law, significant experience managing complex transactions, and excellent communication, client management and project management skills. Experience advising on corporate lending and real estate finance matters is essential, while both Scots law and English law backgrounds will be considered.
