For residential development solicitors ready to step into more complex work and greater client exposure, opportunities within truly top-tier teams are rare.

Job Description

This leading international firm is looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate (4–6 PQE) to join its highly regarded Residential Development team, offering the chance to work on some of the most significant development projects in the UK.

The firm is widely recognised for the quality and scale of its real estate practice, advising many of the UK’s most prominent housebuilders, developers and investors. As part of this team, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of major residential developments, from strategic land acquisitions and site assembly through to development agreements, infrastructure arrangements and disposals.

The work is both technically engaging and commercially significant. You can expect to advise on large-scale residential and mixed-use schemes, often involving complex land structures and long-term development strategies. Much of the work is delivered alongside colleagues in planning, construction and finance teams, giving you exposure to the broader commercial context of major development projects.

You will work closely with well-known partners in the residential development sector, within a collaborative team that places a strong emphasis on mentoring and professional development. Associates are given meaningful responsibility and early client exposure, making this an excellent environment in which to continue building your profile in the development market.

Importantly, while this is a top-tier firm operating at the highest level of the market, it is also known for its genuine commitment to social mobility and merit-based progression. The team is open to strong candidates from firms outside the traditional Legal 500 rankings, recognising that talent and potential are not limited to a small group of practices.

Despite its premium client base, the firm takes a measured approach to workload and career sustainability, creating an environment where solicitors can thrive professionally without sacrificing balance.
