Our client is and stablished and resected North East practice, due to continued business growth an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual is available to join their growing Renewable Energy team.
The firm has an enviable list of clients – developers, investors, landowners, funders, communities and planning authorities – principally working in Scotland's renewable energy industry.
The ideal candidate may be a lawyer currently working in an energy role or a solicitor with a commercial property or rural background and who wishes to transfer into a dynamic and growing industry.
The role will include drafting and negotiating documents such as exclusivity agreements, options and leases for developers and landowners, carrying out due diligence on existing projects for investors and funders, assisting clients involved in the renewables supply chain and generally supporting clients with their legal requirements in this fast-moving industry.
Projects are predominately in the wind, hydro, rooftop and ground-mounted solar, battery storage and marine sectors. Green hydrogen projects are increasingly attracting more attention.
Training will be provided as required.
