Associate / Senior Associate – Commercial Real Estate

I’m working with a highly regarded Scottish law firm looking to appoint an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join its established Commercial Real Estate team in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of complex, high-value transactions, alongside an experienced and supportive team, with genuine opportunities for career development and progression.

The role will offer exposure to a broad range of commercial property work, with a particular focus on development, investment and strategic land transactions.

The work will include:

• Leading land acquisitions and disposals for private developers and public sector clients.
• Advising on greenfield and brownfield developments, turnkey and golden brick housing transactions.
• Handling strategic land deals, working alongside specialist planning, construction and energy teams.
• Drafting and negotiating Promotion, Option and Joint Venture Agreements.
• Preparing Deeds of Conditions and DMS Deeds of Conditions.
• Supporting corporate colleagues with property due diligence on corporate transactions.
• Managing complex transactions and supporting the development of junior team members.

What are we looking for?

You will be a Scottish-qualified Solicitor with strong commercial property experience and a genuine interest in developing your career within this area.

Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly relevant:

• Property development
• Investment
• Asset management
• Corporate property support

You’ll also bring strong technical ability, commercial awareness, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
