Professional Indemnity Solicitor

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value disputes acting for insurers, policyholders and professional clients across a range of sectors, including construction, financial services and accountancy.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a varied caseload of professional indemnity and financial lines disputes from pre-action through to resolution
Advising insurers and insured clients on liability, indemnity and policy coverage issues
Handling complex, high-value and multi-party litigation matters
Drafting pleadings, reports and technical legal advice while building strong client relationships
Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers within the team
Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the practice

Applicants should be Scottish qualified solicitors with at least 4 years’ PQE, ideally with experience in professional indemnity, insurance litigation or commercial disputes. Experience defending claims involving construction professionals, accountants, brokers or financial institutions would be advantageous. Candidates should possess strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage complex matters independently.
