If you’re a Private Client Solicitor with experience of Adults with Incapacity work and are looking for a role offering a little more variety, responsibility and genuine scope to progress, this is a really interesting opportunity.

Job Description

I’m working with a highly regarded Glasgow private practice that is looking to add an experienced Solicitor to its busy Private Client team.

The role is a little different from many of the Private Client opportunities currently in the market. Whilst you’ll continue to handle more traditional Private Client work including Wills, Powers of Attorney and executry administration, a significant part of your caseload will focus on Adults with Incapacity matters.

You’ll deal with guardianship applications and more complex AWI work, with plenty of direct client contact and the opportunity to develop valuable court experience.

I’m particularly keen to speak with Solicitors from around 2 years’ PQE upwards who already have experience of Adults with Incapacity work, particularly guardianship applications. A broader background across Wills, Powers of Attorney and executries would be ideal.

You’ll be comfortable managing your own caseload and working independently, whilst knowing that support and guidance are there when you need them. You’ll need to be organised, able to manage competing deadlines and, importantly, have the communication skills and empathy required when supporting clients and families through what can often be difficult circumstances.

One of the things I particularly like about this opportunity is the combination of independence and support. You’ll be trusted to take responsibility for your work, but you’ll be joining an experienced and genuinely supportive team where development is encouraged.

There is also real scope to progress. If you’re ambitious and want to continue developing your technical expertise and take on greater responsibility as your career develops, you’ll be supported to do so.

Alongside a competitive salary, the package includes a minimum of 33 days’ holiday with the option to purchase additional leave, a generous pension scheme and ongoing investment in training and professional development.

The role is based in Glasgow and offers an opportunity to join a friendly, established team with a strong track record of retaining and developing its people.
