Kilmarnock | Established Ayrshire Practice | Excellent Technical Expertise

Job Description

We are delighted to be supporting a long-established and highly respected Scottish law firm with the appointment of a Private Client Solicitor at 2+ years’ PQE.

This is one of those opportunities where I think the firm itself is a big part of the attraction.

With deep roots across Ayrshire and a longstanding reputation in the region, the firm has built an excellent client base and, importantly, has developed real technical strength across its Private Client offering.

You’ll be joining an established team, working alongside experienced practitioners and advising clients who value the quality, expertise and continuity the firm provides.

For someone who is perhaps looking for their next step in Private Client, rather than simply another job, I think this is well worth exploring.

Why Join?

  • A genuinely established Ayrshire practice – A firm with deep local roots, longstanding client relationships and a strong reputation across the region.
  • Excellent Private Client expertise – The team has considerable technical depth, providing a great environment to continue developing your own knowledge and experience.
  • Quality client work – You’ll work with individuals, families and business owners across a varied Private Client caseload.
  • A long-term opportunity – This is a chance to build your career within an established practice where relationships, technical ability and client service are genuinely valued.
  • Experienced colleagues around you – Work alongside practitioners who can offer support, knowledge and experience as you continue to develop.
  • Competitive remuneration – A package reflective of your experience and the level of the opportunity.

The Role

You’ll become part of an established Private Client team, taking responsibility for a varied caseload while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

The work will include areas such as:

  • Wills and succession planning
  • Executries and estate administration
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Advising individuals, families and business owners
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships

There will also be the opportunity to work alongside more senior colleagues on complex matters, giving you the chance to continue broadening your experience rather than simply managing the same caseload day in, day out.

About You

I’m keen to speak with Scottish Qualified Solicitors with 2+ years’ PQE and a solid grounding in Private Client work across:

  • Experience across a broad range of Private Client matters
  • Strong technical and drafting ability
  • The confidence to manage your own caseload
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • A genuine interest in developing your Private Client career
  • The ambition to continue building your technical expertise and client relationships

Whether you’re actively considering a move or simply curious about what else is available, I’d be happy to have a confidential conversation.
