The role will involve working on a broad range of planning and environmental matters, including:
Planning enquiries and advisory work
Negotiating and drafting planning agreements
Supporting renewable energy projects across wind, hydro, solar, and energy storage
Advising on appeals, enforcement, and statutory procedures
Assisting with planning and environmental due diligence for property and corporate transactions
The firm is looking for a qualified solicitor at NQ–3 years’ PQE with a genuine interest in planning law and experience gained through seats, traineeships, or early post-qualification work. Candidates should have strong analytical and communication skills, a proactive and commercially aware approach, and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and well-regarded team led by Graeme Nisbet, supporting a wide range of clients including public bodies, developers, landowners, and funders.
