The team supports a wide range of organisations involved in Scotland’s planning system — from planning authorities and government departments to developers, landowners, and funders.
A big part of what they do involves helping developers and operators working in renewable energy, including onshore and offshore wind, hydro, solar, and energy storage projects. They also advise clients across many other sectors such as housing, commercial and industrial developments, mining, and natural resources.
As part of the team, you’ll provide advice on all kinds of planning and environmental law matters — from negotiating planning obligation agreements and carrying out due diligence for developers and funders, to advising on appeals, enforcement, compulsory purchase orders, and issues that arise in property or corporate transactions.
Ideally you'll have at least two years of relevant experience, but the team are open to varying levels of expertise.
You can be based from the Highlands & Islands, the role will involve regular travel to the central belt.
You will enjoy a competitive salary, generous benefits and have the opportunity to develop your career.
