This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-ranked department, handling a broad range of personal injury defence claims on behalf of insurers and self-insured clients across Scotland.
The role will involve advising on all aspects of motor, employer’s liability, and public liability claims, with responsibilities including preparing court pleadings, instructing experts and counsel, attending hearings, and negotiating settlements. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload under appropriate supervision, while also assisting senior fee earners on more complex matters. You will be supported by a collaborative and high-performing team, with a strong focus on delivering client service to insurer protocols and service standards.
Applicants should have NQ-2 years’ PQE level, with experience in civil litigation and knowledge of Sheriff Court procedure. A current practising certificate is essential, along with strong time management, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage a varied workload. Experience in Court of Session litigation or pursuer work would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is a full-time position, based in either the firm’s Glasgow or Edinburgh office, with hybrid working available.
