Job Description

Paralegal – Disputes & Commercial | Hybrid Working

Salary: £30k  - £39k + Excellent Benefits

Are you a proactive Paralegal looking for a role that offers genuine variety, exposure to high-quality legal work and the opportunity to develop your career?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded legal team where you'll work across a diverse range of matters, supporting experienced solicitors on everything from contentious intellectual property disputes and employment tribunal cases to litigation, data protection and commercial projects.

No two days will be the same. You'll gain exposure to a broad spectrum of legal work while developing your technical skills in a collaborative and supportive environment that embraces innovation and legal technology.

The Role:

Working as part of an established team, you'll play a key role in supporting fee earners across a wide range of client matters. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with document reviews for litigation disclosure exercises and Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
  • Supporting contentious matters, including intellectual property disputes and Employment Tribunal cases.
  • Preparing court bundles, managing court processes and assisting with litigation administration.
  • Progressing undefended litigation matters across both Scotland and England, including drafting letters before action, supporting enforcement and recovery actions, undertaking asset tracing and assisting with payment negotiations.
  • Supporting due diligence exercises, document management and project-based legal work across multiple practice areas.
  • Reviewing, redacting and preparing legal documentation and contracts.
  • Assisting with the preparation of first drafts of legal documents and client-ready materials.
  • Working with modern legal technology and AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and support innovative service delivery.

About You:

We're keen to hear from organised, ambitious and detail-oriented Paralegals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are looking to broaden their experience.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Paralegal role, legal placement or internship.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • An interest in legal technology, AI and digital ways of working.
  • A Law degree or Paralegal qualification would be advantageous, although it isn't essential.

What's on Offer?

  • Hybrid and flexible working options
  • Exposure to a broad range of high-quality legal work
  • Opportunity to develop experience across litigation, intellectual property, employment and commercial matters
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Ongoing training and career development
  • The chance to work with cutting-edge legal technology and AI-enabled processes
