Key Responsibilities:
Managing a varied caseload of medical negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims, from initial instruction through to resolution
Conducting litigation in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session, including instructing experts and counsel, preparing cases, and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
Building strong client relationships and providing compassionate, client-focused advice throughout often sensitive and challenging matters
Contributing to business development initiatives, referral relationships, and the continued growth and profile of the Medical Negligence team
Applicants should be Scottish qualified solicitors with approximately 2–4 years’ PQE, ideally with experience in litigation, medical negligence, or personal injury work. Candidates should possess strong technical and organisational skills, commercial awareness, and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional client service. An interest in advocacy and complex litigation is essential.
