Locum Private Client Solicitor

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client solicitor to undertake a varied caseload within a modern and client-focused firm, providing support during a period of increased workload and continuing growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a broad range of private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney, executries, trusts, and estate administration.
• Advising clients on succession planning and wealth preservation, delivering clear and practical legal guidance.
• Drafting and reviewing private client documentation to a high standard.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
• Supporting the wider team to ensure the efficient delivery of legal services and excellent client care.

Applicants should have 5+ years’ PQE and strong experience in Scottish private client work. Candidates should be confident managing their own caseload with minimal supervision, possess excellent communication and client relationship skills, and demonstrate a proactive and organised approach. STEP qualification or progress towards accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential.
