A well-established Edinburgh-based law firm is seeking an experienced Civil/Commercial Solicitor to join its busy Litigation team.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience to take on a varied and engaging caseload within a supportive, collaborative environment. The role offers a high level of autonomy, direct client contact, and exposure to a broad range of disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse civil and commercial litigation caseload independently.
  • Advising clients on commercial disputes, including actions for payment, company restorations, and director or partnership disputes.
  • Representing clients in Sheriff Courts and specialist tribunals, including the Housing and Property Chamber and Lands Tribunal.
  • Providing advice on commercial property disputes such as lease terminations, dilapidations, and access issues.
  • Assisting clients with executry-related disputes, including will reduction actions.
  • Supporting clients with family or employment law disputes where required (desirable but not essential).
