This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of defender litigation matters, acting for insurers, large corporates and public sector clients on complex and high-value claims.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a varied caseload of employers’ liability, public liability and motor claims, from inception through to resolution
Advising clients on serious and catastrophic injury claims, fatal accident cases and high-value property damage disputes
Providing strategic advice on liability and insurance policy indemnity issues where required
Representing clients in litigation, mediations and other forms of dispute resolution while building and maintaining strong client relationships
Applicants should be Scottish qualified solicitors with at least 5 years’ PQE, ideally with experience in defender personal injury, insurance litigation or liability claims. Candidates should be confident managing complex matters independently, possess strong technical and client management skills, and have experience of litigating through the Scottish courts. Exposure to catastrophic injury, fatal claims, policy coverage disputes or mediation would be advantageous.
