This leading UK law firm is seeking a Non-Contentious Construction Legal Director or Partner to join its Construction & Engineering team in Glasgow.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction lawyer to play a key role in the growth of a highly regarded practice, advising on some of the UK’s most significant construction and engineering projects across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, commercial developments, residential projects, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and engineering contracts, including JCT, NEC, MF/1, and other industry-standard forms.
  • Advising on consultant appointments, collateral warranties, bonds, guarantees, novation agreements, development agreements, funding agreements, agreements for lease, and related project documentation.
  • Supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of construction and development projects.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the practice.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Construction & Engineering team to deliver commercially focused legal solutions.

Applicants should have significant experience in non-contentious construction law, gained within a recognised construction practice. Candidates with a mixed background of advisory and contentious construction work will also be considered. A strong commercial approach, excellent client management skills, and a proven ability to deliver practical and strategic advice are essential.

You will be joining a highly respected Construction & Engineering team with an impressive client base spanning public and private sector organisations, contractors, developers, consultants, and investors. The role offers high-quality work, genuine opportunities for career progression, a supportive and collaborative culture, flexible working arrangements, and the opportunity to play a leading role in the continued expansion of a successful national practice.

If this role sounds of interest, please contact Frasia or Cameron for a confidential discussion. (Assignment 18723)
