This international law firm is currently recruiting for a Junior Associate to its Property & Liability team in Edinburgh.

Job Description

The successful candidate will support a high-profile client base of insurers, local authorities, and corporates on a wide range of insurance litigation matters involving property damage, subrogated recoveries, and policy coverage disputes.

The role offers exposure to technically complex claims arising from fire, flood, infrastructure failure, subsidence, and construction-related incidents. You will assist in reviewing documents, drafting client advice and court papers, conducting legal research, and supporting senior colleagues on large-scale claims. The team also regularly advises on policy interpretation issues including non-disclosure, breach of conditions, and the fair presentation of risk.

Applicants should be newly qualified solicitor or have up to 2 years’ PQE level with experience or a demonstrable interest in insurance disputes and property-related litigation. Strong drafting skills, a good academic background, and confident communication are essential. A Scottish practising certificate is required.

The firm offers excellent training, a collaborative and supportive team environment, and the chance to develop your litigation expertise within a market-leading insurance practice. If this position could be of interest, please do not hesitate to contact either Cameron or Teddie for an initial and confidential discussion. (Assignment 17629)
