This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a varied and high-profile role, providing employment law and litigation support to a large national organisation while advising senior stakeholders on complex and sensitive matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing employment law advice across a broad range of matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and Employment Tribunal cases
Managing litigation matters including employment disputes, Fatal Accident Inquiries, health and safety, enforcement and debt recovery cases
Advising senior management on complex, high-profile legal and regulatory issues
Supervising and mentoring solicitors, paralegals and support staff within the litigation team
Drafting legal documents, conducting legal research and delivering training to internal stakeholders
Supporting wider governance matters, including data protection, equalities, human rights and statutory compliance obligations
Applicants should be qualified Scottish solicitors with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE, ideally with strong employment law experience and a background in litigation. Experience advising senior stakeholders, supervising colleagues, and handling sensitive matters is desirable. Knowledge of public sector, regulatory, health and safety, or governance issues would be advantageous.
You will be joining a specialist in-house legal team offering exposure to a diverse range of employment and litigation work, with opportunities to influence organisational decision-making and contribute to strategic projects. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with travel across Scotland required as part of the role.
