Our client, a leading Scottish Law Firm is seeking a Solicitor/Senior Solicitor to join its Restructuring & Insolvency Team, based in Glasgow; however, Edinburgh may also be considered.

Job Description

The role focuses primarily on non-contentious restructuring matters, advising lenders, corporates, insolvency practitioners and other stakeholders on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and supporting non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters, including corporate restructurings, refinancings, debt restructurings, business and asset sales, and formal insolvency processes
Advising lenders, borrowers, directors and insolvency practitioners on risk, strategy and structuring options
Drafting and negotiating complex transactional documentation
Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across relevant practice areas
Ensuring compliance with internal information security policies and safeguarding confidential information

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ PQE and experience in corporate law, banking, or commercial contracts. Candidates without banking experience should demonstrate a genuine interest in this area.
