We are pleased to be working with a leading global financial institution that is recruiting a Commercial & Technology Lawyer at Assistant Vice President level to join its Commercial, Innovation & Technology (CIT) legal team.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of commercial contracts, technology, innovation, and regulation within a dynamic international environment.

The role will involve advising on a broad range of commercial and technology matters, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial, technology, outsourcing, cloud, SaaS, and licensing agreements
  • Supporting the business on regulatory requirements, legal risk management, and compliance with internal policies and standards
  • Providing legal advice across sponsorship, data licensing, real estate, and wider commercial services
  • Supporting the organisation’s innovation strategy and contributing to legal input on change and transformation initiatives

The firm is seeking a qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE level and have strong experience in commercial and technology contracts, gained either in-house or in private practice. Candidates should be confident advising on supplier and client-facing agreements, managing legal risk, and partnering with teams across procurement, technology, operations, and the wider business. An understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting financial services – such as outsourcing, operational resilience, or ring-fencing – would be advantageous.

You will be joining a collaborative, high-performing team that supports mission-critical commercial and technology activity across the business. The role offers exposure to complex advisory work, opportunities to influence policy and process development, and the chance to contribute to transformative legal initiatives. The organisation promotes a supportive environment with hybrid working options and strong emphasis on professional development and leadership capability.

The firm offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. If this role sounds of interest, please contact Cameron or Teddie for a confidential discussion. (Assignment 18195)
