Family / Litigation Senior Associate (Maternity Cover – Potential Permanent Opportunity)

Location: North Lanarkshire
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (flexible options considered)
Contract: Fixed-term (15 months), with potential to become permanent

About the Role:

My client, an established and well-known firm based in North Lanarkshire, is seeking an experienced and confident Family / Litigation Senior Associate to join its team. This position is initially to cover maternity leave for a period of 15 months, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor who is comfortable managing their own caseload and delivering a high standard of client care in a supportive and professional environment. Flexible and part-time working arrangements will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of family and litigation matters independently
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients
• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and professionalism
• Handle cases from instruction through to resolution
• Work collaboratively with colleagues while demonstrating initiative and autonomy

About You

• Qualified solicitor with significant experience in family law and/or civil litigation
• Proven ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
• Confident, proactive, and highly organised
• Excellent client liaison and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of service
