Our client is looking for a talented and motivated Employment Senior Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate to join their highly regarded Employment, Immigration and Pensions (EIP) team in their Glasgow office.

Their Employment, Immigration and Pensions team is one of the largest and most experienced in Scotland, with colleagues based across their Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, as well as remote team members in the Aberdeen area.
The team advise clients across Scotland, the UK and internationally on the full spectrum of employment law matters. The team includes Law Society of Scotland accredited employment law specialists, discrimination law specialists, accredited mediators and experienced HR professionals, enabling us to deliver commercially focused, practical advice across contentious and non-contentious matters.

The role
Advise clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, providing strategic and commercially focused advice.
Manage Employment Tribunal litigation from initial instructions through to final hearing, including case strategy, pleadings, witness statements and client risk management.
Represent clients in Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal proceedings, including advocacy at preliminary and substantive hearings where appropriate.
Draft and review employment contracts, policies, handbooks, settlement agreements and other employment documentation.
Support corporate transactions by advising on employment-related aspects, including TUPE and associated warranties and indemnities.
Deliver client training, seminars and workshops.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Contribute to business development initiatives, networking activities and thought leadership across the firm.
Support the ongoing development of junior colleagues through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
About you
2+ years' PQE in employment law.
Strong technical employment law knowledge and sound commercial judgement.
Experience advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
Advocacy experience, or a desire to further develop your advocacy skills.
A proactive approach to client relationship management and business development.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
