Corporate Solicitor – 1–2 Years PQE

Edinburgh / Glasgow

c£55k - £65k - Excellent Benefits, Hybrid working.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented Corporate Solicitor (1–2 years PQE) to join a highly regarded and growing Corporate team based across Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The firm has an established reputation for advising entrepreneurial, high-growth and scaling businesses, with particular strength in the technology and investment sectors. The team regularly handles sophisticated corporate transactions, including matters with US and wider cross-border elements, providing an excellent platform for a solicitor looking to develop their corporate career.

The Role

You will work closely with experienced corporate lawyers and have the opportunity to advise founders, investors, entrepreneurs and businesses throughout their growth journey.

The role will involve a broad range of high-quality corporate work, including:

Mergers and acquisitions
Equity investments and funding rounds
Shareholder and investment agreements
Corporate restructurings
Start-up and scale-up advisory work
Cross-border and international transactions
General corporate advisory matters

You will benefit from direct client contact and meaningful responsibility from an early stage, while receiving the support and mentoring required to continue developing your technical and commercial expertise.

The firm encourages its lawyers to build their own professional networks and become actively involved in the wider business and entrepreneurial community, offering genuine scope to develop both your legal expertise and commercial profile.

You will ideally have 1–2 years' PQE gained within a corporate team and a solid grounding in corporate transactional work.

You should be:

Technically strong with good attention to detail
Commercially aware and interested in understanding clients' businesses
Confident and personable when dealing with clients
Comfortable working collaboratively within a busy team
Enthusiastic about working with entrepreneurial and high-growth businesses
Keen to become involved in networking and business development
