This leading Scottish law firm is recruiting an Associate to join its highly regarded Contentious Construction team in Leeds.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an England & Wales qualified solicitor to work on complex, high-value construction and engineering disputes, advising a diverse client base across both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Advising clients on contentious construction matters, including adjudication, mediation, arbitration and litigation proceedings
Reviewing and analysing construction contracts, evidence and supporting documentation to assess the merits of disputes
Drafting pleadings, submissions and strategic legal advice, while supporting negotiations and dispute resolution processes
Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development, marketing initiatives and team growth

Applicants should be England & Wales qualified solicitors with at least 4 years’ PQE, ideally with experience in contentious construction, engineering disputes or commercial litigation. Experience of adjudication and alternative dispute resolution processes would be advantageous. Candidates should possess strong drafting and analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage complex matters effectively.
