Communications Executive – Digital, Temporary, 35 hours per week, £32,802 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional with a flair for all things digital to join the Law Society of Scotland to cover a period of maternity leave up to a period of 12 months.
We are the professional body for over 13,000 Scottish solicitors, setting standards for and regulating solicitors to ensure the provision of excellent legal services and confidence in Scotland’s legal profession. Key Responsibilities for this role
The Digital Communications Executive plays a central role within our busy Communications Team which has a wide and varied remit. The team is responsible for maximising engagement with a range of audiences from colleagues, members and our governing Council and committees to the media, public and parliamentarians.
This role is key to ensuring that we get the best value from our digital channels by developing strategy and content, implementing communications plans, advising on best practice, and using data and insight to inform continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively across the communications team and across the organisation to develop and deliver high quality and effective member and stakeholder communications across all our digital channels – website, social media and email engagement.
Use data and insights to analyse plan, implement and evaluate activity and campaign outcomes in collaboration with Communications Team colleagues. Make and implement recommendations for continuous improvement.
Oversee scheduling and publication of social media content to ensure optimal engagement with key audiences.
Manage production, distribution and quality control on mass emails including our fortnightly newsletter.
Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
You will be a motivated and high performing team player, with an excellent communications and engagement track record.
Create and implement compelling, data-driven engagement and communications activities/campaigns across digital channels
Swiftly gather, assess and communicate sometimes complex information in an appropriate and understandable format to engage audiences using the most appropriate channels
Experience of managing social media, websites and email for a range of audiences
Experience of analysing and evaluating digital engagement and communications activity, reporting in a concise and action-orientated way
Ability to organise and prioritise work, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
