Superb opportunity for an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join our clients Conflict Resolution team based in Glasgow.

The  team,  acts for businesses and individuals to resolve disputes and conflicts with the aim of securing the best possible outcome for the clients.

The role:

The role will involve representing pursuers and defenders in the Sheriff Court as well as other forums (including Arbitration and Construction Adjudication). The work includes commercial disputes, contractual and property disputes, and contentious construction and property disputes. In addition, the role includes managing a caseload of consumer rights cases, as well as contentious executry / private client cases.

This will be a varied role and adaptability to different practice areas within the wider CRG team is essential.

The candidate:

The ideal applicant will be at least 3 years PQE with experience in representing clients in commercial disputes at court and in ADR procedures, with a strong desire to develop in these areas.

You will be expected to undertake management of your own cases (under Partner supervision) and therefore you should be able to work on your own initiative, be very focused on time management, operate to deadlines, be organised in your reporting, and have a meticulous eye for detail. You should be able to build rapport and communicate positively and effectively with other team members, clients, other legal representatives and other involved parties such as witnesses and experts. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing an excellent level of client service, having a positive attitude and being proactive.

The role will be based in Glasgow, and while your geographical location will not be the most important factor, a willingness and ability to travel around Scotland to courts and to visit clients at their premises or attend events, is required.

Ongoing training will be provided to ensure continued development and expertise.
