Job Description

I'm working with one of Scotland's leading clinical negligence teams, consistently recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers, which is looking to recruit an NQ – 3 PQE Solicitor as the team continues to grow.

This is an opportunity to develop your career within a specialist defendant practice, defending complex clinical negligence claims on behalf of healthcare professionals and insurers. You'll be involved from the outset of a claim through to resolution, working alongside recognised specialists to investigate the facts, analyse expert medical evidence, develop robust legal strategies and gain exposure to genuinely high-quality litigation.

Clinical negligence is an area that rewards lawyers who enjoy getting into the detail. The legal issues are complex, the medicine is fascinating and no two cases are ever quite the same. You'll work with leading medical experts across a broad range of disciplines, dealing with claims that are both intellectually challenging and technically demanding. It's a practice area where you'll constantly be learning, developing your advocacy and litigation skills, and building expertise that will set you apart as your career progresses.

Whether you've already gained experience in clinical negligence or you're currently working in litigation and looking to specialise, you'll be joining a team known for the quality of its work and the calibre of the lawyers within it. You'll be given early responsibility, excellent mentoring and every opportunity to develop into a genuine specialist.

If you're looking for a role that will challenge you, accelerate your development and give you exposure to some of the best defendant clinical negligence work in Scotland, I'd be delighted to tell you more.
