Our client, an established Scottish law firm based in Glasgow, is seeking a Civil Assistant with experience in personal injury law.

Job Description

The practice is renowned for its high-profile work on Public and Fatal Accident Inquiries, civil claims related to state-involved deaths, and cases of national significance.

The successful candidate will manage a complex and varied caseload, including inquiries, clinical negligence claims, deaths in prison and hospital settings, and catastrophic injury cases. Applicants should have at least 5 years’ PQE, with substantial experience in personal injury, and a strong motivation to work on cases that challenge authorities and help shape law and policy. A thorough knowledge of Court of Session procedures is essential.

This role offers the opportunity to join a supportive, fast-paced team, with a competitive salary reflecting experience. While the firm ideally seeks full-time candidates, a four-day week will be considered for the right individual. The firm also operates a hybrid working policy, with employees expected to work from home at least one day per week, although there is flexibility in arrangements.
