This leading multinational law firm is currently recruiting a Construction Associate or Senior Associate to join its established Non-Contentious Projects team.

Job Description

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a broad mix of UK and international projects, advising clients in sectors including real estate development, energy, infrastructure, and transport.

The position involves providing legal support on non-contentious construction matters, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, and advising on major project documentation. The successful candidate will act for a wide range of clients such as developers, funders, contractors, and SPVs. The role combines independent responsibility with the opportunity to work collaboratively across a cross-office team on complex and high-value transactions. Business development and client relationship-building will also be a key aspect of the role.

Applicants should have between 2 and 8 years’ PQE with solid experience in non-contentious construction law. Familiarity with standard form contracts such as FIDIC and NEC is preferred, and knowledge of the UK energy, infrastructure, or real estate markets will be beneficial. Candidates should be Scottish or English qualified. This is a full-time, permanent position and can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

If this role is of interest, please do not hesitate to contact either Cameron or Teddie for an initial and confidential discussion. (Assignment 17318)
