Beaumont Legal Recruitment is delighted to be instructed on behalf of a well-established and growing Scottish law firm seeking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Commercial Real Estate team.
This is an opportunity to become part of a busy, high-performing property practice advising a diverse client base across Scotland and the wider UK.
The Opportunity
You will join a collaborative and commercially focused team handling a broad range of commercial property matters, including:
- Acting for businesses and individuals on varied commercial property transactions
- Advising on acquisitions and disposals
- Commercial leasing transactions (landlord and tenant)
- Property aspects of banking and finance transactions
- Title examination and reporting
- Conveyancing and Land Registration
- LBTT returns
- Coordinating settlements and completions
- Negotiating missives, leases and associated documentation
You will work with a broad spectrum of clients, including PLCs, SMEs and high-net-worth individuals, delivering pragmatic and commercially astute advice aligned to client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of commercial property matters in line with client protocols
- Providing high-quality, technically sound and commercially aware advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Liaising with solicitors, Counsel, surveyors, property agents, accountants and other intermediaries
- Supporting business development initiatives, networking and client relationship growth
- Contributing to fee targets while maintaining the highest professional standards
- Participating in team meetings and supporting internal systems, case management and time recording
This role offers exposure to complex and high-value transactions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with a current Practising Certificate from the Law Society of Scotland
- Experience in commercial real estate matters commensurate with Associate or Senior Associate level
- Strong technical grounding in commercial property law
- Commercially aware with a client-centric approach
- Confident communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Proactive, organised and motivated
- Comfortable managing competing priorities within a busy practice
