The role involves managing a varied caseload of defendant occupational disease claims on behalf of insurer and corporate clients, advising on liability, causation, quantum and litigation strategy from instruction through to resolution.
The caseload includes asbestos-related diseases, mesothelioma, noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), and other occupational illness claims.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing claims through all stages of litigation
Drafting pleadings and witness statements
Instructing medical and technical experts
Reviewing evidence, negotiating settlements, and preparing cases for hearings or trial where required
The successful candidate will independently manage a substantial caseload while supporting senior colleagues on complex and high-value matters. The team is open to candidates with 3+ years’ PQE who have strong litigation experience.
