Senior Employment Law Solicitor , 4+pqe - Aberdeen/Inverness/Edinburgh.
C£65K-£70K (DOE) + Excellent Benefits Package.
We are delighted to partner with our client who boast a Chambers UK 2025 and Legal 500-ranked employment team, focusing on employer-based matters.
This is an interesting and varied role advising the firms diverse client base on a range of employment law issues and represent them in employment tribunals.
Our client sets itself apart with vast local experience and a commitment to accessible, personalised service in employment law.
Key areas of responsibility include;
· Advising on the employment aspects of transactions, such as corporate and outsourcing projects
· Handling day-to-day employment queries, including disciplinary and grievance matters
· Managing collective matters, such as redundancies, integration, and TUPE
· Advising on trade union matters
· Representing clients in tribunal litigation
The successful candidates who can be based either, Based in our Aberdeen, Inverness, or Edinburgh office, you will:
· Manage your own caseload and assist with complex cases with team support
· Deliver high-quality client care
· Handle both contentious and non-contentious employment matters for employers and employees
· Work with clients in person and remotely, attending tribunals and court when required
· Participate in business development activities
· Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations, including client verification
The ideal candidate will possess 4+pqe in Employment Law coupled with;
· Possess a strong track record of advising clients and representing them in employment tribunals.
· Demonstrate the ability to identify key issues and conduct effective legal merits assessments
· Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
· A team-focused approach, with the ability to work independently
· Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
· Attention to detail, particularly when working with figures
· Confidence in making timely, well-considered decisions
· Commercial awareness and the ability to assess risks effectively
Your experience should include managing a caseload that covers;
· Settlement agreements
· Constructive, unfair, and wrongful dismissal cases
· Sickness absence issues
· Discrimination and whistleblowing claims
· ACAS early conciliation
· Employment tribunals
