Are you enjoying Private Client work but beginning to wonder whether your current role can offer you the quality of work, development and progression you’re looking for longer term?

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor with a minimum of one year’s post-qualified experience to join a highly regarded and supportive team in Dundee.

You’ll manage your own varied caseload covering Wills, Powers of Attorney, executries, trusts, inheritance tax, estate planning and wider Private Client matters, working directly with individuals and families and developing long-standing relationships with them.

Importantly, you won’t be expected to know everything from day one.

You’ll work alongside experienced Solicitors and Partners who will support you as you develop your technical knowledge and become involved in increasingly complex and interesting matters. If there are areas such as trusts, inheritance tax or more complex executries where you would like to gain greater exposure, you’ll be encouraged and supported to do so.

What I particularly like about this opportunity is the genuine scope to build your career.

Whether you’re relatively early in your Private Client career and looking to broaden your experience, or you’re ready to take on greater responsibility and start working towards the next stage, you’ll have access to ongoing training, mentoring and clear opportunities for progression.

You’ll ideally have at least one year’s PQE within Private Client and already be comfortable managing your own caseload. Just as importantly, you’ll enjoy working directly with clients, be approachable and empathetic and understand the importance of providing clear, practical advice, often at particularly important or difficult times in their lives.

You’ll be joining a friendly and collaborative team where knowledge is shared, people support one another and individual development is genuinely encouraged.

If you feel you’ve reached the point where you need greater exposure, more technically interesting work or simply a clearer route for progression, this could be a very worthwhile move.

Please contact me, Deborah Collier at QED Legal, for a confidential discussion. I’d be delighted to tell you more about the opportunity.
