Beaumont Legal Recruitment is delighted to present a newly created opportunity for an experienced Private Client Paralegal to join a well-established and highly regarded legal practice.

The Opportunity Reporting to a Senior Executry Paralegal, you will take ownership of your own portfolio of executry files, managing matters from initial client meeting through to conclusion. This role requires technical strength, sound judgement, and a client-focused approach.
You will play a key part in delivering a high-quality service to clients during often sensitive and complex circumstances, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and professionalism throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer both testate and intestate executries from inception to completion
  • Manage your own caseload proactively and efficiently
  • Liaise with Executors, beneficiaries and third parties
  • Prepare executry accounts and supporting documentation
  • Complete HMRC inheritance tax forms and produce IHT calculations
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of inheritance tax exemptions and reliefs
  • Advise on legal rights, including calculations and handling associated issues
  • Maintain compliance with AML, financial procedures and time recording requirements
  • Build effective working relationships across the wider firm
  • Maintain accurate records within the firm’s document management system

About You We are keen to speak with candidates who bring:

  • A recognised paralegal qualification, ideally aligned with the Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal scheme
  • A minimum of 5 years’ solid executry experience
  • Strong technical knowledge across inheritance tax and legal rights matters
  • A commercial and organised approach to caseload management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems
