McArdle Solicitors seek a talented, industrious and conscientious Trainee Solicitor to begin their training in March of this year.

Job Description


The firm provides legal services to the communities in and around Pollok, Glasgow ; and is largely involved in the areas of criminal, family and childrens' law. When successful, you will quickly begin to appear in Courts and Tribunals throughout Scotland and be busy assisting clients on a daily basis with mainly office based appointments. 

As this is a traineeship which has been partially funded by the Scottish Government there are certain requirements that organisations and applicants for roles must undertake.

Closing date: Friday 28th January 2022 at 5pm

As part of the job advertisement there are four documents to download. The first is a person specification/job description for the role. It may be useful to download this for ease of application.

There are three separate forms that applicants require to complete as part of the application process. Please download them to your desktop or cloud storage. Form A and Form B should be uploaded below. This will be sent directly to the organisation. Form C should not be uploaded but rather should be completed and sent to  


Organisations that have received funding from the Scottish Government should use Form A and Form B when considering applications and therefore you should only upload Form A and Form B and do not apply with a cover letter or your CV. There is an opportunity to include career history and a personal statement in Form A.

How to apply

  • In the 'Select from one of your upload CV documents or upload a new one' section tick the 'or upload new document for this application' check box
  • Click on the 'Choose File' button and then the 'Upload' button - do this for Form A and Form B only
  • Then click the 'Apply Now' button
  • Separately forward FORM C directly to the Law Society of Scotland via email (please put the traineeship provider name in the subject line)
