With an increasing demand for Conveyancing and Private Client services at our two Borders offices, we are looking to recruit a Trainee to start work with us in summer 2019.

Job Description


The Private Client work we principally carry out is preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trust Deeds; Administration of Executry and Trust Estates; and Tax Planning. Property Conveyancing work is in line with the great diversity of properties that our clients own in Scotland and so covers commercial as well as residential properties both urban and rural including farms. In carrying out Private Client and Conveyancing work for our clients Taits are operating as part of the process of looking after the clients' assets and wealth. We strive to ensure that clients receive a full service in that respect and work closely with other professionals to achieve that. However, that also requires joined up thinking and seeing the bigger picture within our legal team who all, therefore, need to have across the board knowledge of the work that we provide. The successful candidate would, therefore, be assisting with Conveyancing and Private Client work generally.

Applicants must have an LLB in Scots Law and have passed or be due to pass  the Diploma in Legal Practice before starting work with us.

The salary offered would be competitive
