Job Description

Iconic Resourcing are proud to partner with a renowned and highly regarded UK law firm with offices based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre for the role of Solicitor within their Clean Energy Property team, known for their expertise in the field and exclusive client list.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an acclaimed firm working with a truly innovative and solutions driven practice, who value and nourish client relationships by working in true partnership with clients both in the UK and Internationally.

The Role of Solicitor is an integral part of the Clean Energy Property team and will involve advising developers on their projects, including onshore and offshore windfarms, solar and hydro energy storage and hydrogen among many others.  The work will be varied and interesting and will see you collaborate with the firms many other departments on cross divisional matters.

You will preferably have previous experience of advising clients in the clean energy sector or will have a strong interest in developing your career in this area.

The required candidate will ideally have a minimum of NQ – 2 years PQE in a similar role or be able to demonstrate competence in the following;

  • Demonstrate appropriate range of legal knowledge and, with assistance and can identify issues outside their expertise and seek appropriate assistance
  • Have experience in a similar role or a desire to build a career in the clean energy sector
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues whilst handling cross divisional matters
  • Maintain, build and strengthen client relationships whilst providing best practice solutions for their needs, with guidance
  • Have excellent attention to detail and appreciate importance of accuracy and risks inaccuracies can bring
  • Demonstrate effectively handling a busy caseload whilst maintaining client relations
  • Meet all deadlines and comply with all company procedures
  • Be client focused
  • Have the ability to work automatously whilst being an effective part of a wider team
  • Maintain strong personal and professional ethics at all times
