We are recruiting for a solicitor to work within the Scottish Women’s Rights Centre (SWRC) project at JustRight Scotland.

Job Description

 

The SWRC is an inclusive, unique and collaborative project which aims to improve outcomes for women in Scotland who have suffered gender-based violence, bringing together the expertise of Rape Crisis Scotland, the University of Strathclyde Law Clinic and our experienced team of lawyers at JustRight Scotland.

The successful candidate will provide legal information, advice and representation to women affected by gender-based violence throughout Scotland. This will include the provision of outreach work (helpline and legal surgeries). This is a varied role that will also include the opportunity to contribute to the development of the law and practice in Scotland through policy, training, research work and strategic litigation.

Candidates must be committed to tackling gender inequality, human rights and working to achieve social justice.

  • Location: Home-based & JRS Offices – Glasgow with travel expected around Scotland
  • Salary: £28,840, FTE per annum (8% employer pension contribution)
  • Benefits: Flexible working, 37.5 days holidays (pro rata, inclusive of public holidays)
