Senior Rural Property – Edinburgh/Highlands

This leading law firm requires an experienced solicitor, with a background in either the rural or commercial real estate sector, to join its rural property practice.  You will work on a wide range of rural businesses including agriculture, aquaculture, and forestry; renewable sector clients; utilities; commercial investors and developers; industry stakeholders; public sector bodies and funders.  This role will support the teams in both Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands.  The ideal candidate will be at least 5 years’ PQE with experience in the rural sector.

 

Key tasks include:

Drafting, negotiating, and implementing acquisition/sale missives for a variety of transaction types
Assisting with negotiation and implementation of development/option agreements
General property management
Leasing, including agricultural holdings
Crofting
Commercial and non-commercial development relating to large estates
