Senior Legal Counsel – Remote

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced in-house legal team.  This innovative organisation is currently seeking an additional Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial Contracts Specialist).  Interested candidates should have at least 10 years’ PQE, with experience of services/outsourcing contracts, and have strong reviewing, negotiating and drafting experience.  Public sector experience and/or IT / IP / networks experience a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing accurate, timely and pragmatic legal advice.
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating mutually beneficial relationships with clients and suppliers in line with the governance framework.
• Progression and resolution of disputes with clients and suppliers.
• Drafting standard terms for new products / propositions.
• Briefing the relevant Head of Legal on contractual relationships of concern, other areas of legal risk and opportunities being referred to the CRC process.
• Stakeholder management, which includes a close working relationship with the commercial and procurement teams and the wider legal team.
