Our client, an innovative and successful energy company, is looking to recruit a senior commercial lawyer on an interim basis of 3-6 months. This position is Edinburgh based but remote working will be considered. The role will involve a range of legal work including banking, energy finance and commercial contracts as well as ad hoc legal queries and projects.
Responsibilities include:
Providing teams with day-to-day legal and regulatory advice
Drafting and negotiation of documents (with external specialist support as appropriate)
Ensuring the General Counsel is kept aware of material issues
In order to be considered, candidates will required to have at least 5 years’ PQE and be comfortable working in an autonomous and high profile in-house legal role. The ideal candidate will have gained experience working in the banking, finance or energy sectors but consideration will also be given to candidates who have worked within other industry sectors.
