Job Description

This organisation is looking to recruit a HR Solicitor on an interim basis (15 months) to be based in the Edinburgh office.  The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ pqe specialising in employment law with a leading law firm and specialist employment team.  You will also have extensive experience in advising on a range of varied and challenging employment law matters.  Experience of supervising and directing the work of others would be an advantage but is not essential.  Your responsibilities will include;

  • Acting as a senior source of professional expertise providing proactive, practical and commercial professional advice as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
  • Contributing to the development of HR policy and procedures
  • Drafting, negotiating, reviewing and concluding complex contracts/agreements and other legal documentation
  • Supporting dispute resolution processes and strategies
  • Providing advice and guidance to business areas on Corporate Governance or Legal Risk Management using the relevant risk management policy framework
