Iconic Resourcing HR are delighted to be representing a leading Scottish headquartered UK law firm in their search for a Senior HR/L&D Executive, as their existing HR team goes through a period of exciting change.

Working closely with the Senior HR Business Partner and HR Director, you will be involved in the selection and induction process as well as managing work experience programmes to include traineeships, Summer Placement programmes and work shadows. You will regularly review the businesses early talent attraction and recruitment strategies alongside the Senior D&I Executive, ensuring all are in line the company strategy and establish and maintain key relationships with suppliers, clients, and other industry contacts to ensure up to date with key challenges and trends in the early talent and L&D sectors within in the industry.

Alongside this, you will conduct an annual review of training providers – seeking new training providers and courses based on requirements of colleagues/teams, ensuring all training requirements are identified and training plans are put in place (to include becoming an expert on external courses and qualification processes), deliver training where necessary and manage the training budgets accordingly.

Part of this role will also include leading on the annual appraisal process, ensuring all Learning and Development policies are up to date, managing the firm’s IIP status and accreditation and any other learning and development accreditations and to lead on the firm-wide mentoring initiative. You will also lead on any key training events and have responsibility for two team members, ensuring their workloads are compliant and KPIs are being met.

We are seeking applications from candidates with experience in a similar role, ideally gained within the professional services sector (legal preferably). You will have had experience in working in an early talent capacity and be comfortable developing and delivering training. You will be comfortable with exposure across the full business in an extremely busy role where you must juggle multiple priorities and plan accordingly. It goes without saying that strong written and verbal communications skills are essential.
