Iconic Resourcing are proud to partner with a renowned and highly regarded Tier 1 Global law firm for the role of Senior Associate within their Technology and Media Outsourcing team, known for their expertise in the field and exclusive client list. This role can be based in either their Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen office and is offered on a hybrid working basis.

The Role of Senior Associate is an integral part of the TMT team, a team which spans across Scotland that also works closely with their wider UK and International colleague. You will be advising clients on a broad range of commercial matter across a variety of technology sectors. Projects will involve high value transactions such as outsourcing, system development and software contracts for financial service and public sector clients, as well as developing areas such as Fintech and AI.

The required candidate will ideally have a minimum of 3-6 years PQE in a similar role or be able to demonstrate competence in the following;

• Demonstrate appropriate range of legal knowledge within the technology sector
• Have experience in drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts; including collaboration, licencing, supply and distribution arrangements
• Confidently advise clients on matters relating to IP, IT and Data Protection
• An strong understanding of GDPR compliance
• Communicate effectively with colleagues whilst handling cross divisional matters
• Maintain, build and strengthen client relationships whilst providing best practice solutions for their needs
• Have excellent attention to detail and appreciate importance of accuracy and risks inaccuracies can bring
• Demonstrate effectively handling a busy caseload whilst maintaining client relations
• Meet all deadlines and comply with all company procedures
• Be client focused
• Have the ability to work automatously whilst being an effective part of a wider team
• Maintain strong personal and professional ethics at all times
