The Role
This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad and stimulating range of rural property matters, advising on transactions and developments that are shaping the future of Scotland’s countryside.
· Involvement in the sale and purchase of farms, forestry, and rural estates
· Assist with natural capital and carbon trading transactions
· Advise clients on agricultural tenancies and lease arrangements
· Support on renewable energy developments, including wind, hydro and solar projects
· Develop trusted relationships with landowners, rural businesses, and investors
· Engage in business development activities to support growth and team visibility
· Gain hands-on experience in a close-knit and experienced team

About You
This role is ideal for a Newly Qualified Solicitor with a passion for rural life and property law, who is eager to grow their expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
· Newly Qualified Solicitor with relevant experience during traineeship (or a genuine interest in rural practice)
· Strong academic background and a keen interest in rural land, estates, and agricultural work
· Confident communicator with strong drafting and analytical skills
· Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a busy caseload with support
· Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
