Job Description

Job description

We’re looking for a RESIDENTIAL CONVEYANCING PARALEGAL to work with our property team in our Glasgow office. You’ll be a confident communicator who can work well with colleagues and meet client expectations. You’ll be a hard worker who isn’t precious about helping out with whatever tasks are required.

About Us

Levy & McRae specialise in getting results for our clients. We bring our extensive expertise to assist clients to resolve a wide range of the most challenging, demanding and complex cases.

The firm acts for both corporate and individual clients. We build strong relationships with our clients leading to us fulfilling a trusted advisor role. We take time to understand our clients’ needs and objectives. Our advice is always pragmatic, commercial and focused on the clients’ needs and objectives.

Over the last 140 years the firm has acted and continues to act in many of the largest, high profile and most complex cases which have come before the Scottish Courts.

We were delighted to have ranked in The Times Best Law firms for 2024, as voted by other lawyers.

Within our property team, we offer conveyancing services for residential properties, whether our clients are looking for a mansion, a family home, a retirement cottage, a buy-to-let investment or a countryside retreat. The purchase and sale of residential property can be complex and stressful for clients, and we aim to provide a personal, friendly and efficient conveyancing service to assist and guide our clients throughout this process.

The Role

Working in our dynamic property team, you will manage residential property transactions from initial instruction to completion, including purchases, sales and security work. You’ll work closely with clients, providing expert advice and ensuring the smooth completion of transactions. There may also be opportunities to work with our commercial property team if the successful candidate wished.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of residential property transactions with minimum supervision, including purchases, sales, new builds, re-mortgages, and title transfers.
  • Draft and review contracts, leases, and legal documents.
  • Provide tailored legal advice to clients.
  • Conduct property searches and due diligence.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, and other professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • An experienced conveyancing paralegal.
  • A natural relationship builder, commercially minded and proactive in business development.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A team player with the ability to mentor colleagues and collaborate effectively.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding client service and achieving the best results.
  • A drive to contribute to the team and support business growth across the Central Belt and beyond.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and inclusive culture where your ideas and ambitions matter.
  • Career development opportunities within a growing firm.
  • A competitive salary based on experience.

If you are a motivated and experienced paralegal looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you. This is an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking firm where your contribution is valued and your professional development is supported.

If you would like to apply for this position, send a CV and covering letter in the first instance to Paul Kenneth (pkenneth@lemac.co.uk)
