My client, a prestigious law firm in the Scottish legal sphere and beyond, are seeking a Real Estate Solicitor with 5 years PQE to join their team in the Glasgow office, on a Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity leave (initially 6-9 months, with the possibility of extension).
My client has impeccable credentials in commercial and residential property development, property investment, property finance, retail property, leisure and hospitality, and landlord and tenant work; providing a comprehensive service for real estate professionals and business occupiers.
The successful candidate will be exposed to a broad range of commercial real estate work including review of title, lease management transactions, conveyancing, secure lending transactions, negotiating leases and other real estate contracts and deeds. This represents an excellent opportunity to widen your knowledge and experience of commercial real estate transactions working with clients and their professionals on a day to day basis within a busy commercial real estate team.
· At least five years post qualifying experience in a Commercial Real Estate law role with the ability to deal with a broad range of matters
· Ability to demonstrate a confident approach together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, good problem solving skills are required along with an enthusiastic approach to work, enjoy working in a team environment and the ability to think commercially.
I would be especially interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in development related work, particularly commercial leasing acting for a landlord/developer, liaising with construction lawyers on development issues, acting for retailers and property investment.
Please note that although this role in based in Glasgow, the chosen candidate may be required to travel to Edinburgh on occasion.
