A global energy leader is looking for solicitors with experience in property (any kind), planning or construction/projects, to join its high-performing legal team, predominantly supporting their renewables business.

Job Description

 

This role is office based 5 days a week, at this Company’s HQ in the centre of Glasgow.

Candidates Required

This Legal team are keen to hear from Solicitors across all PQE levels with experience in property or planning law.

Previous energy / renewables experience is not required – this legal team have an exceptional track record of retooling lawyers from various disciplines/backgrounds and have fantastic training resources available.

This legal team would be delighted to hear from any of the following:

  • Commercial Property / Real Estate Solicitors
  • Rural / agricultural property Solicitors
  • Planning Solicitors
  • Construction Solicitors
  • Infrastructure / Projects Solicitors

This team will also consider residential property lawyers who can demonstrate the necessary commercial exposure (and interest in pivoting to a commercial property career in the energy sector) required to work on international projects as part of a global business.

The Role

This shall be a dual role advising on both planning and commercial property elements in connection with major infrastructure projects including onshore and offshore wind projects and solar and battery storage projects.  

Example responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating purchase, lease, consenting, planning and servitude documentation, making planning applications and agreeing access rights etc – all in relation to renewables projects within the UK and ROI.
