Core Asset Consulting is working with an award winning and leading full service Private Practice Firm who is seeking a NQ Solicitor / Senior Solicitor to join its Private Client Function based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. The legal teams across the firm work together to deliver exceptional expertise which is mirrored by a first-class client service.

Essential:

  • NQ – 6+ years PQE
  • Scottish Qualified Solicitor
  • Broad experience in the provision of Private Client Services

Core responsibilities:

  • Delivering an excellent client focused legal service
  • Advising on the provision of wills, estate planning, Powers of Attorney, executory administration and creation of trusts
  • Drafting legal documents regarding all of these matters
  • Preparing accounting to the client, as required for Trust and Executory administration.
  • Being proactive in the financial control of your caseload, including accurate time recording and prompt feeing
  • Advising clients on matters relating to wills, tax and estate planning, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Executories and Guardianship.
  • Contributing constructively to the success of the division
  • Supporting the Firm’s marketing initiatives and identifying and maximising opportunities to sell the services of the Firm.
  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Legal advice for the elderly including powers of attorney
  • Regular contact with clients by telephone and face to face meetings
