Planning Solicitor | 2–5 Years PQE | Edinburgh – Hybrid.
£75k - £85k+, neg (DOE).
Super opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor to join a well-established planning law team in Edinburgh, gain exposure to both contentious and non-contentious planning work across a diverse client base and development portfolio—from national major projects to local developments.
What You’ll Do:
Advise on contentious and non-contentious planning matters
Handle environmental law issues and compulsory purchase cases
Support public inquiries, planning appeals, and judicial review proceedings
Work on complex cases alongside senior colleagues
Manage matters independently where appropriate
Contribute to client relationships and team goals
Who We’re Looking For:
2–5 years PQE (more experienced candidates considered)
Experience in planning or environmental law
Strong analytical, communication, and client service skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Interest in professional development and business growth
Qualified in Scots law or dual-qualified in Scottish Laws
